His End

 

In 1520, Pineda met his end at roughly around age 26

 

He was found at the Panuco River. Local Indians were angered by his attempt to settle in their land, so him and his crew were attacked and most of the boats burned down.

 

Only 60 of his men remained and left on the final boat that wasn't yet burned down by the Indians.
